I cant find a pic online to substantiate but this fella is the spit of Noel V Ginnity 50 years ago.
His name is Steve Cooney if I’m not mistaken.
Paidi the aul rogue knew Dolly was knocking around as she’d been in his mothers shop earlier that day and promised to drop in. Paidi went off and wrangled up Cooney and Seamus Begley to just happen to be playing in the pub when she landed.
Steve is smitten there, and shur rightly so. You dont see that sort of star power and glammer up close much below in Ventry.

That is Steve Cooney. I am not sure how well known he was back then, but obviously must have had some profile to get the call up for Dolly.
I’d say he was local and gettable.
The Kerry hoores are some bucks, me man getting emotional about bringing a hape of tourists to a pub that Dolly sang one song in. They’re some cute hoores.
