Dodgers broke my heart the year I started following baseball properly and it’s looking like they’re gonna cause me a smidgin of disappointment this year

Nothing better

Galwayman Jack Flaherty falls apart and the Mets are alive

Right. In the bicep, ouch.

10 - 5 to the Mets. Long way to go… gonna be fun.

3 outs to take this one to game 6 in LA.

It had to go to the 10th innings again last night in Cleveland but the Yankees eventually prevail to wrap up the American League Championship series final 4-1 and advance to their first World Series in 15 years.

Be wonderful if it were the Yankees vs the Mets but I can’t see the Mets pulling through.

A Subway Series as they say in New York. It happened once before back in 2000. I was in New York during it and there was some excitement.

Subway series were the norm in the 40s and 50s

They were. Just looking up the records there Yankees v Dodgers is the most played World Series match up, with 11 meetings in total. Of those 7 were with the Brooklyn Dodgers, the most recent 4 were the LA Dodgers, but 1981 the last meeting.

Yankees v Giants have met in 7 World Series, 6 of the 7 before the Giants moved from New York to San Fransisco.

The one we (in other words MLB) wanted

Biggie v tupac
Trump v kamala
East Coast v West Coast
Billions v billions

Judge v Ohtani

Must see tv, in Japan and everywhere

Sold for 4.4 million…

Here we go,World Series, Dodgers Yankees. Gerrit Cole, Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Kiké Hernández, Anthony Rizzo…

Very moving scenes at Chávez Ravine as Los Dodgers remember Fernando Valenzeula who passed away this week and who was beloved and cemented them as the team for Mexican Americans in California.
