QPR have confirmed that they have suspended manager Jim Magilton following an incident during Monday night’s clash with Watford.
Rangers are investigating allegations that Magilton head-butted Hungarian midfielder Akos Buszaky during the 3-1 defeat, an incident which also involved several other Rangers players.
A club statement said: 'The club can confirm that manager Jim Magilton has been suspended with immediate effect, pending an internal investigation.
'The suspension relates to an incident which occurred at Monday’s Championship fixture against Watford at Vicarage Road.
‘The club will be making no further comment at this stage.’
Magilton is the second manager this week to be embroiled in a high-profile clash with a player, following Stoke City manager Tony Pulis’ alleged head butt on James Beattie after the defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.
The pair reportedly came to blows over the players’ Christmas party in London after the 2-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.
The argument erupted after Pulis was said to go back on his word to give his side the Monday off, resulting in a changing room fracas.
Training went ahead as scheduled on Monday and a team meeting was called between players and management, while Beattie went to the gym at the Britannia Stadium as he has a knee problem.
And two days later Magilton became the latest manager to be accused of head butting a player.
The Ulsterman allegedly reacted furiously to Buszaky’s response when he asked whether he thought he was being bullied.
Patrick Agyemang then reportedly stepped in to intervene, condemning Magilton for the unprovoked attack, while Buszaky stormed out the dressing room.
The former Plymouth Argyle playmaker has since reportedly threatened to press charges over the incident and his representative was reported to have met Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini yesterday.
Magilton’s future at Loftus Road is now in jeopardy following his suspension, pending a full internal investigation.
The 40-year-old, who penned a two-year deal at Rangers in June, has seen his team win just one of their last seven matches and concede eight goals in their last two games.
Magilton is a cunt.
Larsson lands coaching role
Henrik Larsson was today appointed coach of Swedish second division side Landskrona Bois.
The 38-year-old former Celtic and Barcelona striker retired in October after finishing his career with home-town club Helsingborg.
“I am very flattered by this offer, given that I don’t have any bigger experience as a coach,” Larsson, who has signed a one-year contract, told a news conference.
“I look forward to it and we’ll see where I can take this.”
Larsson, who was capped 106 times by Sweden, won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2006.
He also won two Primera Division titles, four Scottish Premier League crowns and the Premier League following a loan spell at Manchester United in 2007.
Landskrona finished eighth in the 16-team Superettan last season.

Wouldnt hold that against him to be fair.

He had already moved that to part-time I think because he didn’t like staying out there. Was supposed to be renewing his contract but Roddy’s not one for hanging round places too long.
Some comedy character in fairness.
I’d say it was the onset of winter that made the DUK jump ship.
The Cork job isn’t confirmed according to rte:
Roddy Collins is set to take over at Cork City after resigning from his position at Maltese club Floriana.
The former Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians manager only took the position in Malta six months ago and has now resigned citing personal circumstances as the reason for his departure.
Collins recently met with Cork City owner Tom Coughlan and now the former Carlisle United manager is rumoured to be confirmed as the new City boss within the coming days.
Speaking about leaving his position at Floriana, Collins told the Times of Malta: 'It was a very hard decision but I couldn’t continue to coach Floriana in the present circumstances.
'I couldn’t move my family to Malta for several reasons and because of this I couldn’t give my 100% commitment to the club.
‘On the other hand, I was spending a lot of time away from my family and this situation was far from ideal for everyone.’
When contacted by RT this afternoon, a spokesman for Cork City confirmed that talks had taken place between Couglan and Collins but no decision had yet been made in relation to the vacant manager’s position.
Paul Hart appointed as QPR boss.
BREAKING NEWS: Manchester City have confirmed the sacking of manager Mark Hughes, and announced the appointment of Roberto Mancini as his replacement.
Disappointed to see that, Hughes seems an alright sort, tough auld station there at City…
He sold Dunne, fuck him I say.
Manchester City statement: “A return of two wins in 11 Premier League games is clearly not in line with the targets that were agreed and set. Sheikh Mansour and the board felt that there was no evidence that the situation would fundamentally change.”
“This is a particularly difficult announcement given the personal investment over the past 15 months on all sides and we would like to put on record our respect for and thanks to Mark Hughes and we wish him the best in his future career.”

Some man city fan on Sky News just called Mancini “unproven”. 3 scudetti sounds proof enough to me.
