The story goes that Ashley renewed Bruces contract on a “rolling” basis, meaning every morning he woke up he was on a new three year deal. Which meant it would cost 8M to sack him.
If true, that is a massive piece of fuck you work from Ashley and a mighty sound gesture to Bruce.
