Managerial Merrygoround Thread

Bruce did ok at Newcastle even though he appeared to be a ridiculous appointment at the time.

Kept them up with a putrid team.

I wouldn’t say very good at Sunderland.

Starts seasons well, then fades badly. Then he started a season badly and the team was getting weaker and weaker because he would just buy players without any rhyme or reason.

And they hated him for it. A nothing club

Newcastle will win the league within next five years.

True I do remember it fading from January onwards. They still finished about 10th did they? They had a great strike force for a while with Bent and Gyan. No coincidence that the drop off happened after Bent was sold to Villa. I seem to recall them handing Chelsea a 3-0 beating at the Bridge at some stage in 2011. Reasonably good I suppose would be a better description alright. Better than some who followed like Di Canio.

He’s had enough

Being quasi manager, head of recruitment and half a mill a week not enough for him?

Mythi probably pissing him off

Scoring those fancy goals.

I’d be happy enough if City werent to go in for him to be honest.

Reports that Michael Carrick is lined up for the Middlesbrough job

Baraclough sacked by Northern Ireland.

I have high hopes Michael Carrick will be a future permanent manager of Manchester United.

He already has a stint of interim interim manager on his CV.
