I read an article about the place he was going to when he got the job. I remember thinking he was utterly mental to go there. Ball of cash though
:lol:
Birmingham have now released a counter statement saying they will report Villa for tapping up McLeish. They are seething.
Graffiti on Villa Park this morning. Watching Birmingham and Villa fight over Alex McLeish is like watching two bald men fighting over a comb.
Have you been to Villa Park? It’s built in the middle of a slum mate. Graffiti isn’t a surprise
Think it was at Bodymoor Heath anyway.
Apparently Fergie recommended his ex-captain to Lerner.
Fergie is a great man for giving out shit advice to other clubs. The lesser managers like Sam and Coyle licking up to him is nauseating sometimes.
id be more worried about the simpletons taking his advise in this case. general krulak, or charles as i addressed him on the villa forum and randy lerner in this case
It’s looking increasingly likely that Leonardo will be leaving Inter to take over at Paris St Germain. Oatar Investment Group recently bought a large shareholding in PSG. Moratti has confirmed that Inter have approached former Chile manager Marcelo Bielsa to replace him. Bielsa is a legend - I would be sickened if he took over those scumbags. :guns:
Anti-McLeish appointment protesters outside Villa Park this evening:
:lol:
good job with it was a wide angle shot Id say.
Appointing Mcleish is to depressing for words.
Not sure what you’re laughing at, you’d see it outside Celtic as well if they were appointing him.
That’s not really the point. You’d see it in Cork if he was put in charge of the hurlers too.
Eh its a different sport. There would be a possibility of McLeish going to Celtic, however remote.
Anyway, other than people being retarded for standing outside their clubs stadium when there is no game on (which happens at Celtic too, and everywhere else) i don’t see the humour.
I thought it was funny for a few reasons:
- generally seeing them going apeshit and climbing over the gates outside the stadium and stuff;
- the guy that decided to go public and speak to SSN to register his disgust even though he risked losing his coveted job as a Villa Park matchday steward;
- the fact that the club didn’t even interview McClaren and cited potential supporter backlash for ruling him out…yet then decide to pursue McLeish.
- how the support were touting Ancellotti and Benitez a few weeks ago and now they’re looking increasingly likely to end with a hated rival that’s been relegated from the EPL twice in 4 years.
Supporting Celtic doesn’t have anything to do with this amusement but, Kev, any more questions then just let me know.
:lol: :lol: :lol:
Bielsa has apparently rejected Inter and accepted an offer from Athletic Bilbao.
Delighted with that news. Great manager at a great club. Will be interesting to see how he tackles Barca next year - he’s a very good tactician.
Absolutely none of this is apparent from the photo. Again why did you find that photo so funny?
Thanks in advance.
I wasn’t laughing at the photo in isolation. I was laughing at the reaction of the support generally, which manifested itself in an amusing protest. I attached a photo of the protest. No need to be obtuse for absolutely no apparent reason. Thanks.
What i thought was funny was the similarity between that scene and similar scenes at Celtic and elsewhere and the irony of your laughing.
