I’d say Hiddink will still go there too. Disappointed as it will probably mean that Porto team will be broken up and they had are a fine side. Fits into his 10 year plan though I guess.
Which players will he try to bring to Chelsea with him? Falcao, Hulk, Guarin?
They’d be the most likely alright. Perhaps Rolando as well. I like Joao Moutinho also but I don’t think he’s in the same class. Hulk and Falcao would both suit the 4-3-3 type formation that Chelsea have been using obviously but it depends what he wants to do with the existing players. I don’t think either Spain or Chelsea have found a way to fit Torres effectively into a 4-3-3 and much depends on how integral he is to their plans. Hulk is easily the standout player anyway.
Villas-Boaz has officially resigned acc to Porto.
Falcao is an out and out centre forward though and I can’t see Chelsea being able to satisfy him along with Torres anad Drogba. Hulk wouild fit in nicely on the right side of the front three. Chelsea’s most notable problem is their midfield, they are all strong athletic players lacking in technique. Modric would be a great signing for them. Chelsea should cash in on the vastly overrated Michael Essien and the awful John Obi Mikel.
SSN reporting Chris Hughton to be the new Birmingham manager.
Best wishes to Chris Hughton at Birmingham City. I believe he’s a TFK member so let’s hope he reads this post.
Remember that Chelsea opposition scout report that got leaked a few years ago?
It was prepared by Villas-Boas who was Mourinho’s chief opposition scout back then.
It was for an upcoming Chelsea fixture against Newcastle and he said that Shay Given was a weak link for Newcastle at the time.
I wish him bad luck as a result. :guns:
Mark Hughes must feel like a bit of a fool now.
Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed as new Inter manager
Just noticed that Villas Boas has brought in DiMatteo as his no 2 at Chelsea. Incredibly young set up there, will be interesting to see how cunts like Lampard and Terry take to them. Would love to see him chop one or two heads early doors.
Odd choice alright. His original choice was his #2 at Porto but he took the job there.
Koeman taking over at Feyernoord.
Argentina about to sack Batista.
Klinsi to the USA. Gnarly.
Mick McCarthy must be in the exit lounge after tonight.
They have City again at the weekend.
Kerr for Northern Ireland apparently.
Stalled his negotiations with Faroes
The Linfield boys will love that.
To be honest if I was Wolves chairman he would have got the bullet at the weekend. Wolves should be a lot better at this stage than they are. The football played is utterly dire and find it strange that as a former defender he has no idea how to organise his defence. Stearman and Ward aren’t good enough for this level. The contrast in football played by both Wolves and Swansea last weekend was stark. Swansea kept possession and looked to get their widemen isolated against the awful Wolves duo. Wolves kicked it long in the general direction of Doyle.
