Managerial Merrygoround Thread

You’d think after 2 years of repeating the same line you would no longer find it strange.

He’s worse than the man he unrequitedly worships for the tedious, borderline autistic, repetition. Only thing is TASD does it with a modicum of humour at times and is mostly pulling the piss. This cunt is just plain boring.

Think it’s been reported before that Kerr is actually a hun.

Sand in your vagina?

Christoph Daum might be taking the Club Brugges job. Often hoped he’d end up at Celtic though I think the papers would have him sacked before he arrived.

So Steve Bruce has been shown the door.
Steve Kean surely can’t be far behind?

Shur he got a fuckin payrise last week

What odds is Mark Hughes for the Sunderland job?

Best priced 2/1 with Boyles. You might get better on betfair though. I don’t trust their oddschecker prices.

He was bigger than evens straight off last night but plenty of talk the job is his anyway.

Martin O’Neill talking with Sunderland. Could be appointed before the day is out

O’Neill is very selective on his jobs.

He hasn’t had one for 18 months bar suing newspapers so doubt he will picky. Will be hilarious if he is passed over for this one and Hughes gets it. Two mercenaries

O’Neill is one of the few managers that isn’t a mercenary. I’m sure he has had plenty of job offers since he left but none have been of great interest to him and I’m not sure Sunderland will be either.

Don’t know if they ever wanted Geordie Bruce up there. It won’t be easy on the eye but O’ Neill will be effective at Sunderland if he gets the post.

Rocko, would you ever contemplate leaving TFK AFC if a top four Premier League side came knocking the door? When I say top four I’m obviously referring to Arsenal, Man City, Man U and Chelsea.

O’Neill confirmed at Sunderland.

Arsh - first of all I have a rule that I never talk about managing a club when there’s someone else in the role. It’s disrespectful. In a more general and non time-specific context I’d consider a role with one of those but to be honest my expansive style of football is something that a more aesthetically-conscious breed of football supporter would enjoy more. I think I’d prefer to work on the continent. One of the big Istanbul clubs would be a huge calling for me.

But I’m contracted to TFK for now and loving my time there. Everything else is pure speculation.

Sunderland fans don’t realise how lucky they are.

Martin O’Neill

+1

Best of luck to the great man at Sunderland.

The three top managers in the EPL.

  1. O’Neill
  2. Mancini
  3. McCarthy
