Managerial Merrygoround Thread

I apologise.

Neil Warnock and Leeds, what a match.

Not a manager, but Niall Quinn has left Sunderland

We didn’t discuss Lee Clark last week. Not that we generally discuss League One managers but that was a bizarre one. They’ve made two consecutive playoffs and were fourth again this time and he got the sack. Had presumed it was related to the Leeds job but that’s not the case. Weird one.

A guess who for you

Cunt :guns:

Official statement from Chelsea:

Andre Villa-Boas has parted company with Chelsea Football Club today.

The board would like to record our gratitude for his work and express our disappointmentthat the relationship has ended so early.

Unfortunately the results and performances of the team have not been good enough and were showing no signs of improving at a key time in the season.

The club is still competing in the latter stages of the Uefa Champions League and the FA Cup, as well as challenging for a top-four spot in the Premier League, and we aim to remain as competitive as possible on all fronts.

With that in mind we felt our only option was to make a change at this time.

With immediate effect Roberto Di Matteo has been appointed first team coach on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Vilas Boas for Inter.

Ah Chelsea. What a joke of an operation

AVB was a ridiculous sight in that coat. If you put a beret on him he’d have been a ringer for Frank Spencer.

Chelsea should move heaven and earth to get Capello to take the job

Harsh enough. He could probably have afforded better alright.

Lots of rumours on twitter that Moyes has resigned to take the Chelsea job. Twitter is great for rumours spreading like wildfire.

Bit of a step down I would have thought.

Twitter is the most ingenious mechanism yet developed for making money out of unsubstantiated bullshit.

Twitter is down, according to Twitter.

 great call

AVB was out of his depth. Tried to change too much too fast instead of getting the best out of the players at his disposal. Ancelotti was the perfect fit for Chelsea and should never have been let go.

Steve McLaren has just masterminded a 6-2 win for Twente at PSV…
