 fired and wrong about the big Villa job in the one week

McLeish had a great record with small clubs as did MON. However Borussia Dortmund and Villa both have European cups - its a natural fit.

he played for the second best football club in Scotland and won some SPL medals anyway.

thankfully that was later in his career and he wasnt subject to the ‘Boys Club’ at Parkhead in his early years

great appointment - for all you cunts knocking the Villa, we are back

Lennon to Norwich is the rumour.

How would you Bhoys feel about that?

I would consider that highly unlikely. Absolutely no chance of Lennon leaving Celtic at the moment and certainly not for that group of players.

Norwich have ridiculously overachieved and as well as they’ve done I’d fear for their future now.

Vladimir Petkovic has been appointed to the Lazio job. He had been managing Sion for the past couple of months, was at Samsunspor before that and Young Boys Bern before that again. Not the most awe inspiring record.

Lambert appointed at Villa as expected.

Not sure about that as a career move for him. I do think he’d completely overachieved at Norwich and getting that group of players to midtable in the EPL was the pinnacle of all he might expect to achieve there. And I wouldn’t say he was hugely enthusiastic about where they could go next season.

Not sure how attractive the Villa job is though. Not a great group of players and wouldn’t know what money there is to spend there.

I’m busy boozing Rocko. Any news on whether Lambert has brought hos backroom staff? Not interested without them

Culverhouse went with him. Not sure on anyone else. £1m paid for his services.

Culverhouse is the main man apparently. So good news

I can see either Ian Crook or Ian Butterworth getting the Norwich job now.

Does this Lambert transfer remind anyone else of Owen Coyles jump from Burnley to Bolton? (aside from Lambert never playing for Villa)

A lot of smart money going on John Polston taking the Norwich job now.

Ruel Fox shortening dramatically in the betting for the Norwich job. He could be the coalmine in the canary of this epic race.

Lots of “in the know” sources touting Mike Walker for a fairytale return to Carrow Road tonight.

John Gregory to Yeovil - I’m counting this as a TFK exclusive.

FFS sid!

Former Shamrock Rovers favourite Derek Swan is interested in the Swansea job.

Jeremy Goss is a long shot to replace Paul Lambert at Norwich but shouldn’t be discounted

Chris Hutchings has made no secret of his desire to get back into top-level management and the former Bradford and Burnley boss is still highly regarded within the game. Norwich, Swansea or WBA could certainly do worse than take a punt on him, perhaps in tandem with a continental sporting director like Klaus Augenthaler or Attilio Lombardo.

Ian Branfoot is now favourite for the Chelsea job too. He was just waiting for the right job after his successful time with Southampton.
