Managerial Merrygoround Thread

Chalk this down as a TFK Exclusive.
I assume that the Dortmund team will be broken up and the likes of Reus, Hummel’s, Gundogen etc will be off.

It will be nice to see Kevin Grosskrutz playing for Celtic next year
That might be the most ridiculous apostrophe I’ve ever seen.

Villa have been going great guns since Queen packed it in, he really is poison.

Tiger Tim was the antidote.

QPR appoint Chris Ramsey as permanent head coach
QPR have appointed Chris Ramsey as head coach on a three-year contract.
Ramsey, 53, was appointed in February following Harry Redknapp’s resignation but failed to prevent QPR from being relegated from the Premier League.
“When Chris took over the role we were already in a very difficult position,” said club chairman Tony Fernandes.
“Despite our relegation, we - as a board - have been impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail he has demonstrated.”
Fernandes added: "He lives and breathes management and coaching and I am sure he will flourish in this role as we look to bounce back from this season’s disappointments.
“This is a new start for us and one I am confident Chris will relish playing a major part in.”

The timing is quite odd.

It does, however, make them an interesting betting proposition this weekend.

Didn’t realise he was so old

Rafa Benitez has turned down West Ham in favour of a likely switch to Real Madrid.

Strange choice

As much as I despise the bulldog jowled fucker, I think West Ham would be crazy to sack Big Sam in their last season at Upton Park. It would be a disaster for them if they got relegated and started their life in the Olympic stadium in the second tier.

What’s the motivation for sacking him anyway? I can understand him not being everyone’s ideal manager but he hasn’t exactly performed below expectations there.

Steve McClaren sacked by Derby. They lost consistency but still think that’s harsh - he certainly improved them and not sure they had a divine right to be any better than they are.

ancelotti sacked amid claims the Madrid suits weren’t happy with the fitness of the players this season…the English lad Clement was being lavished with praise only a few months ago… can’t see this being good for his reputation*…

 • a quick google shows he’s actually favourite for the aforementioned Derby job so maybe it hasn’t worked out too bad for him after all.

Ancelotti really doesn’t have a very good record league record. Three league titles in 17 seasons with mega-rich clubs.

Was it sacked or mutual?

I would have thought they would have held on for a few weeks to see if Newcastle would approach for him and get some comp

Sacked yesterday evening & Steve is not best pleased either. Failing to get into the playoffs was his downfall. Thought they would have stood by him considering he shot down Newcastle’s advances.

West Ham have a rich history of playing attractive, attacking and winning* football and Big Sam was never going to wash with their demanding supporters or their stable, logical owners.

*They’ve been utter dogshit for the majority of their existence.

Ancelotti to decide on a return to Milan by Friday.

Thought he ruled out as he has to go under the knife

Milan’s offer still open and he will make a final decision on Friday.
