Managerial Merrygoround Thread

That would be history repeating itself. Guardiola took over at Bayern after Heynckes delivered the treble of European Cup, Bundesliga and German Cup. In Munich where domestic honours are taken as a given his tenure so far is largely viewed as a failure.

Yea, that’d show that Man City Board who gave him an extra season when everyone wanted his head.

The absolute levels of seething from mufc fans on social media yesterday was a joy to behold. Almost matched by the silence from those on here.

To copy what Keith Burkinshaw said on leaving Spurs, “there used to be a football club over there”.

It is done. We are at the endgame. In fact

Pellegrini’s achievements at Malaga and Villarreal are greater achievements than anything Guardiola has done. Only won two Champions Leagues out of four with the clear best team in the competition and has got hammered two years in a row in the Champions League with a star studded Bayern side. He’s a junkie and a fraud

Pellegrini is a great man. Pellegrini is a lovely man.

He is, and is being shafted here for a more fashionable but inferior manager

I doubt he’s been shafted in any way. Its been known for years that when Guardiola came available he would take over at City. Its why they’ve put the structure in place above and below him to work with him. I doubt Pellegrini minds one bit. In fact this has been excellently handled by Man City. Now its up to Guardiola.

“Sources” claim its between Mourinho and Pochettino for the United job.

Pochettino doesn’t seem to be a cunt. That should rule him out.

Paul Clement sacked by Derby

Twice today you’ve been well behind the times.

Huh?

Writing was on the wall after the ignominy of conceding three goals to Man U.

So McClaren sacked & Rafa is in.

Is it too late?

Good appointment. Norwich will go down with the Villa. I reckon Big Sam will keep Sunderland up. The derby game will be the ganechanger in the relegation battle.

Remi Garde sacked by The Villa.

He had a contract for another three years. I wonder how much they paid him off? They need to get Nigel Pearson in now for next season.
