Did you think that up ???

Christ no, I haven’t had an original thought since 1996

What was that in 1995 ??? Clare would beat Limerick in Munster final ??

Ndlovu wasn’t even at Hull

I respect the poetic license taken then.

Mind you, its still not up there with the Everton fans when Terry Phelan returned from a long time out injured, only to go off again early in the game. At which point they broke into a chorus of “we’ve lost our Terry Phelan…”

That happened.

Claudio has got the dreaded vote of confidence from the Leicester City board

They can’t sack him until he’s knocked out of the champions league. Then all bets are off

Might be too late then.

So what has gone wrong for him this year?

He banned chicken burgers

They overachieved in a freak season last year. They sold Kante. Teams worked out how to play them, they play more deep and Vardy can’t get those runs at goal from long balls. And Mahrez has hardly made an assist all season.

Vardy, Mahrez & Drinkwater aren’t half the players they were last season while Kante is a huge loss not just in midfield but also in making Huth and Morgan look like a solid defensive partnership.
Last year was a combination of freak factors and in reality they are regressing to their mean more than anything.

I know all the reasons above are valid, but they spent £70m on players ffs! Professional players that should be delivering*. No excuse for not being in the top 10 IMO.

*something in the back of my mind tells me that one of the big signings is injured…

This as much as anything, all the stats last year had them out-performing their expected goals and expected points relative to how much possession/shots on goal etc they were having. It was baffling how many teams didn’t just sit in deep against them last year.

They won a lot of games in the second half of last season 1-0. Teams were wising up but not enough. And their defence was inspired.

They peaked. Everything they achieve from now could never possibly match last season. They know it too. Mahrez will be off shortly, he may kick on again but for the rest the opening line of their obituary has already been written and they all know it.

Good points made above but Kante is so fucking good, I’m inclined to put the vast majority of it down to him leaving. If he was still there, they’d be fine and possibly be up around the top 6 given how distinctly average 2-6 are.

The end of the season before last they were flying. How do you epl gimps explain that
