Manchester United 16/17

He is.

Won a league cup in his first season.

The same as Liverpool have managed in the past decade.

You’d hope a club of uniteds stature would measure themselves against a higher standard than a club who haven’t won a title since 1990. I guess thats how things have gone in recent years, glorying in finishing above Liverpool. Now even thats gone.

Liverpool won a Champions League in 2005 and played in another final in 2007.

How many have City played in?

Wait, what has city to do with this?

They’re another club in the EPL mate. I thought you might be familiar with them.

Or maybe there was another club that you figured Utd should be compared to?

united fans comparing the club to Man City, get fucking in.

What do you expect? Who would have been an acceptable club to compare United, at the current point in time, to in your opinion?

If’d I’d said Chelsea you would have called them new money or something and said they were muck last year.

If I’d Arsenal you’d have pointed out that they haven’t won a title in over ten years.

That leaves Spurs. Fucking Spurs.

I just think its amusing. Laying claim that winning a league cup (because it is more than Liverpool has won in a decade) being a successful season.

Congratulation on Man City finishing ahead of Man U in the league for the 4th consecutive season. First time that’s happened since 1975.

Chelsea are the biggest team in England.

Barely worth a mention at this stage you’d say.

Best squad by a mile.

Man United finished behind an average Liverpool team this season .

Ibrahimovic earns around £367,000-a-week at the club with a £2.6m goal bonus.

Holy fuck.

Oh
My
Days.
That’s an awful lot even by epl standards.

Was just looking at the league goals tables today. United have just two players in the top 50 goal scorers this season. Zlatan on 17 and Mata on 6. Same as their noisy neighbours.
Interesting when you compare to the sides around them: Liverpool & Chelsea (6 each), Arsenal and Spurs (4 each). Even the likes of Swansea and Stoke have 3 players each.
Their over-reliance on Zlatan has been costly. He has 17 goals v the Liverpool front 3 who have 36, and whose combined wages come in around the same as his

A plucky 0-0 draw away to Southampton tonight.

That must be 6th place secured. A magnificent achievement.

300m spent…That’s a fine achievement.
