Well he be in the dugout for the trip to Cardiff at the weekend? He made a great fist of EPL management when he was at Cardiff.
Hopefully heāll bring similar levels of success to OT
He may step up but I canāt see anything in Oles cv that suggests heās ready for, a job that isnāt as big as it used to be admittedly, but still a big job
Amateur hour. Paul Ince was on the radio tonight and said they should give the job to Brucey.
They might as well put Giggs in.
This is too delicious to eat in one go
Small bites lads, small bites
Not everybody is good enough to play at the biggest clubs in the world, Ole Gunnar was a great player for United, made the absolute most of his talents
Interim, suggests stop gap until the end of the season, shrewd by Woodward, means jeff canāt be having a pop at United being a sacking club and āthe United wayā when he replaces him for next season.
Solskjaer said in August that he would build a team around Pogba, itās going to be interesting if nothing else.
Whilst not being a starter. If he was good enough heās be starting week in week out. Cole, Yorkās and Teddy were always ahead of him.
For a lad who spent a lot of time on the bench he had some eye for goal, 114 goals in his first 7 seasons.
And he put the ball in the Germanās net.
Think that was taken when he took Cardiff to Old Trafford. They were in relegation mire but he spent the days surrounding the game fawning over Manchester United. Saying he would never celebrate his team scoring against them, acting like a tourist doing a stadium tour on the day of the game and then spending the aftermath saying how great it was to be back. His actual job seemed to be an irrelevance to him.
OGS is an utter cunt
The man scored a last-minute winner in a European Cup Final. There is no stage too big for him.
Heās the perfect Interim manager and will be ably assisted by Mike Phelan.
He experience of working with a lunatic like Vincent Tan will make dealing with Woodward and the Glazers seem like a walk in the park. No one could have succeeded under that regime in Cardiff.
You do realise Vincent Tan still owns Cardiff?
Manchester United announced today that former striker Ole Gunnar SolskjƦr has been appointed as caretaker manager until the end of the 2018/19 season.
SolskjƦr scored 126 goals in 366 appearances for United between 1996 and 2007. In 2008 he became the clubās reserve-team manager, before taking the managerial role at FC Molde in Norway.
SolskjƦr will take charge of the first team with immediate effect and will remain in place while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new full-time manager. He will be joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, working alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.
āManchester United is in my heart and itās brilliant to be coming back in this role. Iām really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club,ā
said SolskjƦr.
Ed Woodward, Executive Vice Chairman, comments:
āOle is a club legend with huge experience, both on the pitch and in coaching roles. His history at Manchester United means he lives and breathes the culture here and everyone at the club is delighted to have him and Mike Phelan back. We are confident they will unite the players and the fans as we head into the second half of the season.ā
Mr Warnock is a real football manager .
