Manchester United 2014/15

Ah lovely, if that’s true then LVG can expect plenty of toys being thrown from expensive prams.

Rough and quick sums on those figures but a 9 month loan deal for Falcao on those wages costs Manu over £13.5million

Replying to my own post here but the BBC are saying it’ll be a £6million season long loan deal. Or nearly £154k a week.

Reported they have bought Falcao for 60m but the loan thing is FFP related.

Wages are based on him being on 10m a year tax free in Monaco so with tax that is about 18m a year or £350k a week

United have spent approx. 260m in 12 months. Looks unsustainable without CL so it is CL or Leeds this season.

This will cost united approx €10m this year net of loan and wages when set off against loan payment/ wages savings of Chicharito.

United will easily make that back in merchandising on foot of this deal.
This makes sense from a football and a financial point of view.

The shaw & Herrera deals are imminently more questionable than this.

agreed on all that
professional football is a business, the objective is to make money , trophies can help you do that but there is also another aspect

makes you wonder who is sanctioning the deal - luxury signing when other areas of the team need more attention

this one is more balanced

And they are likely to get £5 million is Welbeck goes on loan

Welcome Daley Blind.

Why is it such a thing that commentators are referring to United being unbalanced with so many left footed players, when the sane is not said of the majority of clubs who play maybe 8/9 right footed players?

Just cuz you’re left footed doesn’t mean you can’t play elsewhere.

Welbeck out, Falcao in at a profit.

This ones for you @Captainshan

isnt that Russian guy who owns Monaco involved in a 4 billion USD divorce settlement or something?
id say the money for Hames (copyright george hamilton) Rodriguez and Falcao wont be going to the club anyway. back to ligue 2 for them now he’s lost interest

Did United manage to hold onto Cleverley?

You make that sound like a worthy achievement

Trying to ship him out to Villa on loan. Seems to have gone through late, and looking for approval now.

Nope.:frowning:
