Manchester United 2014/15

WAHEY!!!

Fucking waiting for that. Thank you.

[QUOTE=“dodgy-keeper, post: 947235, member: 1552”]After the Moyes misery I’m looking forward to seeing a manager with the mentality to manage United, who promotes good attacking football and will give talented youngsters a chance. His press briefings won’t inflict insomnia on those watching either.

Any decent ‘Manchester United way’ football tonight against Burnley or was it just more of the usual Van Gaal way, agricultural long ball hoofing it into the box?

Shit on a stick display but three points.

It wasnt even long ball hoofing. Burnley outplayed them for 75 minutes tonight. They tired in the last 15 and United got a peno to wrap it up.

Danny Ings should be shot for that miss, dreadful.

As should Smalling for the attempted clearance.

So doing things the ‘Manchester United way’, promoting good attacking football, and press briefings that won’t inflict insomnia on those watching either are no longer pre-requisites for the job.

You’ve really changed your tune.

It was fairly dire Shan. No structure or balance to the team. Burnley should have been ahead at half time, totally on top.

Rooney in midfield has to stop, just not good enough to play in there. A 3-1 win but another terrible display. Will get walloped at Anfield and Stamford Bridge. Miraculous how United are third in the table.

That’s right, hide behind a dumb rating like a coward. You lampooned a good and decent football man David Moyes all last season. After the foolish decision to dispense with Moysie’s services, you were repeatedly bigging up Van Gaal as the messiah. You’ve gone strangely quiet on all your ‘United way’ guff when Van Gaal is so devoid of ideas he has to resort to doing it the ‘Wimbledon way’.

Spot on with everything that you said.

Man Utd boss Louis van Gaal: “We were not so good today and we were lucky… I don’t like this performance today”

What’s the report card on the players United have bought since Fergie retired?
Felliani £27m-mullocker who can do a job and serve a purpose but will never be a starter. Poor value for money and a bad signing.
Mata £37m-lovely little player on his day but hasn’t done it for United in the big games and can’t get into the team when everyone is fit. Poor value for money but understandable signing.
Blind £16m-looks a very good player. Could do with stopping getting injured. Looks very good value for money.
Herrera £26m-hasn’t had enough time on the pitch yet but has only been ok when in the team. Looks overpriced but too early to tell yet.
Rojo £16m-looks a liability every time he steps onto the pitch. Brave and might possibly have a role as a defensive midfielder but too brainless for centre half. Poor value for money and a bad signing.
Di Maria £57m-brilliant player but criminally misused by Van Gaal so far. Will need to improve on recent woeful performances. Overpriced but one of the best players in the world on form. Great signing but not going great so far.
Shaw £30m-has shown glimpses but can’t stay fit. Way overpriced and spending £30m on a right back was insane given the overhaul the squad needed but United paid the English premium. Jury still out but a poor start.
Falcao £6m loan/potential £43m fee-once one of the top 3 strikers in the world, looks a shadow of his former self. Will not be at OT next season.

I make that around £215m spent on fees in last 18 months and you would have to say it’s a fucking shocking return so far. It really just reinforces how much of an unbelievably good manager Fergie was.

Harsh on Rojo, think he has done well since he came in. At least he’ll get stuck in and will mix it physically.

Shaw is worth the money, just needs a good run in the side.

For the transfer fee and wages United can’t do a deal for Falcao, going by what we have seen so far this season.

Really? At centre half?

Shaw needs to lose a stone. He’s carrying a lot of weight for a 19 year old.

Not sure how you can say that, he hasn’t done anything to justify that fee yet

2-1 defeat at Swansea. A far cry from that sunny August day on the opening day of the 2013/14 season which saw Moysie cruise to victory in South Wales. They could really do with Moysie now instead of this long ball specialist Dutch spoofer.

That performance reeked of United v Fulham last year. No clue at all how to break down a team. Van Persie needs to go. Give Wilson a chance. He wasnt even on the bench today. Could see United sinking to 7th again if things dont pick up.

The collapse is a few weeks early:clap:

To be goes my I’ve grown weary of this already, I’m actually begining to pity them now :o
