Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

Dropping the calamitous Maguire along with the lazy Shaw and Wan Bissaka has transformed Utd, benching McTominay and starting big Cas is the next no brainer now.

Yep. Let Casemiro get up to speed but theres no diubt he will be a massive upgrade on Mctominay.

I hope @Copper_pipe had a great trip.

In a season where city ,but more so Liverpool, have gone back, there’s a chance there to be in the mix… Breaking on teams is working now but the worry will be when they have to break teams down… Season 1 should be about making them solid tho and he’s on course so far

Keano was buzzing after that

Maguire just looks so bad  he reminds me of when you’re stuck on a Monday night and you get one of the lads who plays second row in rugby down for a game of 5 a side. He plays sport just not that particular one.

Rashford is like a new signing.

Bookies offering huge Cashout figures to cover impending bankruptcies……

Eriksen on a free… That’ll help the net spend

In fairness to Man United it’s some change in the space of 2 weeks. A fortnight ago they were genuinely being described as a laughing stock in the media and pundits were predicting a defeat by 3 or 4 to Liverpool. 14 days later and they’ve won 4 in a row. Ronan Glynn and Tony Holohans phrase of “The next two weeks are critical” springs to mind.

Sort of had a feeling at the start of the season they’d do well against the top teams and struggle against the cannon fodder.

The two one nil away wins to Leicester and Southampton were big results Imo.

McTominay only one yellow card off a suspension after 6 games :joy:

Todays was a particularly good one. Straight greko roman wrestling take down.

after a kick out at the player too.

he does some daft, daft things at times where you’d be shaking your head. He played one pass inside today without looking and someone had to scramble for it. if Xhaka wasn’t fast asleep it was a goal chance

You’d wonder why they didn’t bin off Maguire, Shaw, AWB sooner.

Shaw is there since 2014. He’ll be due a testimonial soon enough.

It’s an interesting one.

You see it in a lot of sports now.

If ETH binned them initially and the players struggled he’d have massive issues as he’d have players very unhappy undermining him.

He gave the trouble makers a chance and replaced them when they didn’t perform.

When you start winning nobody can really complain.

A great day out.

Only downer is we’ve just been told our flight back to Cork from Liverpool is delayed. More pints I suppose.
