Ten times the defender and athete of Maguire and Lindelof when any way fit.
Positionally, not the best but he played with lads like Lindelof and Maguire among others who couldn’t run.
On the ball, not the best, but there has been some motley crew of cowardly midfielders at United that didn’t show for it since he started off.

I agree only for he has cost United many times in games. But on the other hand, you see what happened with Ashley Young after he left the club and then hope to see the same thing happen with Philip.

Point really is that he was about as good a prospect as you could get at that time and might have been a top player. Gets pilloried and others get a pass, like the small fat winger they signed from Dortmund for 80 million, a guy who can beat a man, but who is so slow, that the defender can get around again to have another cut at him.
