As far as I can tell most of the English hacks are Arsenal supporters.

Miguel Delaney is too.

Miguel is also a Sporting Gijon supporter. His uncle played UCL for Boavista after failing to make the breakthrough at Valencia and then Benfica.

Mainstream media is basically split between Liverpool and Arsenal.

1947 surely the closest title race between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Liverpool finished 1st on 57 points with Manchester United one point behind in second place on 56, with a superior goal average.

Liverpool took 15 of the last 16 points including beating Manchester United in a showdown game on the run in.

But this doesn’t tell half the story as in reality, Wolves and Stoke were bigger challengers to Liverpool.

Manchester United’s programme of fixtures ended on May 26th with them on top of the league, but they couldn’t mathematically win it, as Wolves had to play Liverpool at Molineux on May 31st in the final game for both teams, and any result was guaranteed to put one of the two teams ahead of Manchester United.

Wolves only needed a draw, and Liverpool needed to win. Liverpool won 2-1 including a goal from the legendary Albert Stubbins.

But even then, despite Manchester United and Wolves being out of the title picture, Liverpool still hadn’t won the league, as Stoke City, on 55 points, could win it on goal average by winning away to Sheffield United on June 14th.

With three games in Stoke’s season to go, they had taken one of the craziest decisions in football history, which was to sell Stanley Matthews to Blackpool.

The Matthewsless Stoke lost 2-1 at Bramall Lane and Liverpool won the league.

The papers and media being mainly based out of London explains the over emphasis on Arsenal. For examples, the public have never being as engrossed about how Arteta was getting on the last 5 years as some soccer writers. Arsenal have mostly been a sideshow for the last 15 years.

Good job Mittens is around to counteract the mainstream media

Semenyo is a smashing player but he’s same position as Mbeumo no?

Getting Guehi in the summer on a free would be a must. Just roll out the red carpet for him but I’d guess 7-8 big clubs will be pitching to him around Europe.

Opposite side but can play anywhere really.

Could he play left wing back?

At sixty million he’s a snip

You’d have to sign him if you could even if it eats into the budget for summer. I’m fairly sure he has played central midfielder and all. Very powerful player, I’d say he could easily wind up playing through the middle in midfield or up front. Take a bit of pressure off Bruno and Cas or even Sesko.

I would imagine every club will be after him
