Ten Hag somehow contrived to do the double over Villa last season. A fixture Yanited tend to dominate traditionally. Realistically it would be in their best interests to lose this one but Ole was in an almost identical situation in 2020 with 7 points from the first 6 games and a hammering at home to Spurs, he beat Everton away who were flying at the time and managed to snare another year out of it.

I know it’s mad really how the fortunes of a massive club can hinge so much on results here and there. Lose 3 nil at the weekend he’s gone and they might get a good manager in and with their money turn it all around. Few good results he might hang on and they are going nowhere for another year. That happened constantly under ole.

I think you understand more why united are where they are by how their fans treat their most honest and hard working players like Maguire and Rashford and then somehow laud the charlatans like fernandes and casemeiro.
