Manchester United 2024-2025

Eerily reminiscent of when Brendan Rodgers was sacked a couple of months into the 2015/16 season. Really he should’ve been gone that summer but Fenway Sports waited for their man until the October international (think it was the one where we beat Germany). He was also sacked after a creditable away draw. Will INEOS be brave enough to admit their mistake and follow Fenway’s example?

Even the recruitment is virtually a mirror image. INEOS recruiting Ugarte against Ten Hag’s wishes could prove similar to Fenway doing the same with Bobby Firmino and Rodgers. Both owners afforded some leniency to the incumbent manager to sign their own player too. For Christian Benteke read Ten Hag being allowed the opportunity to sign De Ligt this summer. They need a charismatic German with a penchant for high pressing football. Or maybe the Danish version Thomas Frank.

Wasn’t it klopp who didn’t want to sign Salah ?

Think he’d have favoured Julian Brandt at the time yeah. But he got on with and took Salah to a completely different level anyway. Incredible coach.

Very little between klopp and rodgers in reality.

In fact rodgers was in a lot more competitive era for the premier league dealing with a good teams.

He also played a lovely style of football too and didnt get the back in the transfer market like klopp did repeatedly. So you could nearly mark him up.

The Rory McIlroy of united

Spurs gone home and me man comes on giving it big licks

If you ignore Klopp winning the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, two league cups, the FA Cup and having a 60%+ win ratio compared to 50% then they’re basically the same alright.

Nobody counts behind closed doors sports with silly rules.

A cup final win v spurs when they didn’t win their league doesn’t count either.

As you’ve been telling us along with the rest of Liverpool supporters on here fa cup and league cup wins don’t count.

Rodgers got no backing compared to klopp. Slot got one player who’s not even featuring that much and looks to have improved Liverpool as well.

Klopp was nothing special but he played on the absolute oddness of Liverpool supporters

Transition year football is where it’s at.

Lucky that Liverpool were more than 20 points clear before the last few games went behind closed doors so.

You’d think he’d be getting game with the U23’s or senior set-up if he’s that good. Usually the best fellas play above their age group.

Why would you play a 17 year old in an under 23s game just back from injury?

Grim stuff

You’re obsessed with a 17yr old which is creepy behaviour tbh.

A ropey road to go after that strange route you took when kept posting I was on drugs.
