Manchester United 2024-2025

Ha, I forgot about that and I was even in London that day.

Is that how far things have fallen from the days where they didn’t even bother turning in for it?
They surely didn’t have a bus tour for winning a diddy cup?
Junior D mentality.

He raided the drinks cabinet again.

Yeah, looking forward to seeing the fav in the Champion Stakes

You’ve been vindicated on “Sir” Jim. The cost cutting is very unseemly. It’s actually cruel the way that they’ve treated Fergie. The Glazers wouldn’t even chance it. They were too loyal to lads like Anthony Martial if anything.

Flatty has been completely vindicated.

How is cost cutting unseemly?

You’d look at the net worth and Jim Radcliffe is obviously very wealthy into the many multiples of billions but he always gives to me the impression that they are slightly hard up, that the money is tied up some way are leveraged or whatever.

I’m surprised they after doing this but letting go of all those staff was much worse.

It’ll be interesting to see does AF speak on this, how much power did he have? Are they holding him accountable for decisions he made or backed in recent years, or was he just an ambassador/ very hands off non-executive director?

I don’t think AF was picking the players, he always favoured physically powerful players, his United team were always a swift counter attacking team that were brilliant in both boxes, he wasn’t bothered about possession most times bar maybe around 00 or 01 when they’d the best players.

He was pulling a serious wedge in fairness. I wonder how much Fenway are paying King Kenny?

Man United are completely broke. I’m not sure what people expect him to do.

They’ve reduced the first team squad size, reduced the wage bill of the first team squad and also raised the most amount of out goings too.

Jim Radcliffe is dragging the club in the 21st century.

I see Gareth Southgate has completely ruled out a return to management.

Who was the guy on here who claimed to be in the know that kept saying Southgate would take the job?

He was but the Glaziers were besotted as he won the league for them on a very tight budget in the last few seasons. Rio Ferdinand made the point, when they were good in the late noughties, they stopped investing in the squad and that’s when City got the jump bringing Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero. That league won in 13 was a miracle inspired by RVP.

The music changed around 2011 with the City hammering of them at Old Trafford.

Last week he said he was taking a year out. Unless he’s clarified this today.

It’s about the club’s place in the community and the duty of care to long-serving staff I guess, and it probably isn’t a lot of money relatively. I don’t blame AF one bit, they gave him the deal.

I’m not sure that stands up to any scrutiny. They had way too many staff. They aren’t going to just pay people to hang around old Trafford and do nothing.

The obsession with man united is still amazing.

We have maybe ten just made up things already this week to try and have a few pops.

Some places kind of would, institutions like United might. Old tea ladies and kitmen, especially up North. But I get what you’re saying. It’s only as hard as it needs to be. If results uptick, we won’t be talking about it.

Man City’s owners have plenty of money. So do Liverpool owners. Why don’t they just start employing a load of people they have no jobs for?

In fact why don’t they just let fans in for free to games. They don’t need the money from ticket sales.

Indeed.

Maybe they wouldn’t be broke if they hadn’t given Ten Fags £600m to spend on Ajax players.
