Allowing for @Bandage’s lovely euphemism, i completely disagree with you. Look at Villa. They’re transformed and pretty quickly too. United have a heap of savage players, we just need a manager who can organise a rabble…
BruidheanChaorthainn: Bandage:Yes, I don’t they’ll be able to close the gap on the top 2 or 3 in one single season. It’ll be all about marginal gains…
I’d agree.
The solution is only time. They were completely mismanaged for well over a decade by the glazers and they’ll pay for it for a very long time.

I’m not sure they’ve really achieved a whole pile. They are a little David Moyes Everton.
+1.
Klopp took over Liverpool when they were 8th in the table and had lost most of their top players from Rodger’s tilt at the title. He turned it around in a fairly decent time. There’s no sympathy in this game for anybody.

Did he really turn it around? He done an awful lot of losing.
Yes. He did.
Yes. He did.
Rodger’s done a lot more with Liverpool from a much lower ebb with less money and less support from the fans.
Did he?
Rodgers losing = good.
Klopp winning = bad.

Well rodgers was a Stevie g slip away from a league title.
Maybe Man City could be gone next season and it’s a totally different picture but at the moment I’m not sure.
Klopp was a bad non hand ball call away from winning one
Rodgers had Gerrard, Suarez, Sterling, Sturridge and Coutinho… an unbelievable set of attackers.
Klopp made a break through when Chelsea, Arsenal and man united were all either crap or very badly run clubs at a minimum.
Timing can be huge.
Villa have spent a fortune too. Not as much as Man Utd obviously but belief that Villa and Arsenal have achieved improvements from coaching alone is misguided. Klopp is the only man to have achieved organic improvements.
Klopp is the only man to have achieved organic improvements.
By breaking the transfer record for a Goalkeeper and a defender?
Sales generated paid for them. That’s organic business.
All the teams spend the same so really the only edge is the youth academy like Barcelona
Organic development? He had both the teeth and hair done in a whistle-stop trip to Turkey mate.
He got all the players to get their teeth done on Day 1. Needed to look good for the the goal and trophy celebrations.

Klopp basically signed every player. Often 2 or 3 in one position until shit stuck. In what way was it organic?
Organic is building around the youth academy.
Klopp won a diddy cup with the youth team
Yes he sold an academy graduate for 15million and bought Andy Robertson for 10m. United sold a graduate for 0 and bought him back a couple of years later for 90m.

So not really organic.
Big dom Solanke was sold for Darwin Nunez who cost a 100 million and isn’t as good as him.
With solanke maybe Liverpool have two or three league title and a proper champions league too.
