Manchester United have submitted a bid of €75million plus €10m in add-ons for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

The Athletic reported on July 30 that Manchester United were prioritising a move for the forward if they were to sign another striker this summer and had made informal contact with the Bundesliga club.

United’s offer comes after The Athletic reported on Monday that Newcastle United had submitted an improved bid for the striker. Their opening bid of €75million plus €5million in add-ons was deemed insufficient by Leipzig, leading Newcastle to increase it to at least €80m.

I’m not so sure on sesko. Like a poor man’s zatlan or something.

Can they not pluck a few lads from Salford or Altrincham off the famed Man U academy production line?

Sackcloth and ashes is flying out of the superstore

The best young player in Salford has just joined Liverpool Football Club.

Is United We Stand magazine worth a yearly subscription? Mitten is opening orders soon for 10 editions over the next season. @Copper_pipe do you get it?

Keyes - probably racismo. I’ve never read anything he has written on Rashford but I know where he stands on Rashford.

I’m not sure about this one tbh.

It’s very hojlundesque. Not sure what the huge difference is between them. Possibly stops Newcastle selling isak to Liverpool. :man_shrugging:t2:

I think the logic is with the Cunha and Mbeumo along side they can take a punt on Sesko to get his share of goals. With the other 2 having premier league experience it won’t take them a season or 2 to get up to speed with the Premier League :man_shrugging:

Here we go?

I’m not subscribed to it but I’d pick up an issue outside the ground when I’m over.

Might get the digital version this season.

Another 80m punt

Yea the other two look very good signings. Surely you’d be as well just seeing can hojlund recapture a bit of form playing with those two and spend the money elsewhere. There’s just as much chance he turns into a good striker as sesko
