Gary Neville has been completely wrong in in his immediate post-half-time analysis.
He predicted that United’s tactical change would see City either kick on and rip United to pieces like Liverpool did or United would come back. But that the first half pattern would not continue and things not stay at 2-0.
The first half pattern has continued in a very boring fashion and both teams seem happy with the scoreline.

Even when Liverpool were at a low ebb they always raised their game for a clash with one of the top teams at Anfield and often turned them over. The 2-0 win over reigning champions Chelsea in the Roy Hodgson era probably a prime example of that. Very meek home performances from Man Utd recently. Going down without a whimper.
