Manchester United est. 1878, Season 2015/2016

Just rumored boss but potential transfer ban for real could sway things.

De Gea will surely have to play now or heā€™ll miss out on the Euros next summer.

United in fairness going by what Iā€™ve heard did everything by the book regarding the transfer.

Going by what I heard they made a balls of it

Maybe they did, who knows, Iā€™m happy though he is a savage keeper and would have saved us dropping at least 2 points against Swansea on Sunday.

They could have sold him two months ago.

But they clearly didnā€™t want to pal.

Bull, pal. They got greedy & burned.

Do you really believe that?
It was reported all Summer that United didnā€™t want him to leave and wouldnā€™t let him go for any less than ā‚¬40m whether he had one year left on his contract or not. Madrid tried to lowball them on the basis that DeGea wanted to move. They wait till lunchtime on the final day of the window to meet Unitedā€™s valuation and try to force their incumbent keeper out of the club as part of deal which then falls through and you think United got burnt because they were too greedy?

Yes.

Thatā€™s a clamping.

United didnā€™t want to sell, Madrid only made a formal bid hours before the end of the transfer window, United reluctantly agreed but then Madrid got cold feet for whatever reason and deliberately botched the chance to sign him this summer.

Bottom line is United get to keep a world class 'keeper for another year and have 12 months to plan for his successor. Happy enough with that.

You can question United about a lot of their transfer dealings but theyā€™ve done nothing wrong here.

And lose him for nothing in 12 months time. De Gea was devastated the move didnā€™t go through. Do you think it would be wise for United to play a 'keeper who doesnā€™t want to play for them?

When did he say he didnā€™t want to play for United any more? He has not exactly done a Berahino.

He has acted professionally enough so far and Iā€™d expect him to honour the last year of his contract. Can move then next summer and no rancour from either party.

Losing out on Ā£20m now but thatā€™s small enough change when you think of the cash from the Adidas deal alone. At this moment in time having the player is more important than the cash.

I could honestly see LVG benching him for the year if he were to act up at all, which I honestly doubt he will to be fair. Money being wasted doesnā€™t seem to bother the Iron tulip in the slightest as long as his holiday retirement home in the Algarve isnā€™t effected in 2017.

Football fans should be rejoicing at the DDG fiasco. Regardless of what happens now, United stuck it to the big man. Real have been doing this for all eternity. Invariably, if they want a player, they get him by any means necessary. Their behaviour in transfer dealings is disgraceful.

Iā€™m not overly fussed if DDG doesnā€™t play for us again. Iā€™m delighted Woodward and Co didnā€™t bend over for Real. It was an admirable show of pure mullocker ignorance.

Euros on the horizon too. Which means de gea wonā€™t throw a strop.

Now thatā€™s a clamping.

He wants to play for Real Madrid, therefore he doesnā€™t want to play for Man United.

Utd Fans.

No, thatā€™s merely your interpretation of it.

Again Iā€™ll ask - when has he said ā€œI donā€™t want to play for United againā€?
