I have in on good authority that his uplift in monthly salary x 11 far exceeds the release clause in his new deal. Heāll join Real Madrid next August but at least Manchester United will get another season out of him, albeit at a significant financial cost.
My sources say the same. United have kicked the can down the road, but at what cost? Incredible short sightedness being displayed here.
