Manchester United FC 2013/14

If they lose to Swansea on Saturday he is gone. Nobody wants him to go that quickly. We want a slow descent into mediocrity. A new manager will turn them around.

Amen to that

Moyes is not getting sacked this season.

6 year contract.

Shit and all as united are yanuzeye ‘oozes class’. Hell do well to turn out half as good but looks much better than Ronaldo at that age. Much more of a brain for it.

Banquo wont allow it, the kid will stay in the picture.

Ferguson reminds me more of Lady MacBeth.

I think it would be harsh to sack Moyes. People will say Ferguson was able to win a league with these players but they were his players and it’s not Moyes fault he had to inherit such a terrible team. The biggest blot on Moyes as United manager so far has been spunking £30m on a dinosaur like Fellaini - that is where the question marks should be on whether Moyes is the man who should rebuild the squad.

Looking at the current team right now - I don’t think there are many playing below their level. Players like Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Smalling, Evans, Jones, Young, Nani etc are just pretty average players. You can credit Ferguson for getting them playing above their level but you can also criticise him for wasting over £100m on them. You also have the likes of Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra and Giggs who were key players but are now utterly done. I don’t think United are underachieving with this squad this season especially given that their two best players have missed a lot of games through injury.

Be quiet @Rudi , that post is neither informative, funny or witty.

Ah right.

He still wasn’t marking him for the majority of that game. He was obviously let down by the defensive midfielder, not sure which one though.

That kind of impacts my point, Vidic was good at the physical part of the game but a more intelligent defender would read the game better and position themselves better in those situations. When Ferdinand and Vidic played they complimented each other nicely but I think you could see the flaws in their game without the other one there.

Vidic is a lad who is great in the tight exchanges alright but further away from goal you play him the less of a player he looks. Not suited to playing a high line and is far more suited to defending the edge of his own box which he is excellent at in fairness. There isn nothing wrong with that but I don’t think he is great as some make him out to be. Will be interesting to see who comes in for him

I forget who wrote it but there was a decent article written shortly after he did he cruciate a couple of years ago and how it was a blessing in disguise for United as it allowed them to play a higher line and that they were actually a better side statistically without him in the side. Less goals and chances conceded per game and more possesion due to playing a higher line which they couldn’t with him in the side
