Manchester United FC 2013/14

Arsenal away midweek, can’t see Utd picking up anything there. 81 crosses today ffs.

Would be better off not qualifying for the Europa League next season, the hassle of playing Thursday night in Afghanistan and away to Chelsea or wherever on the Sunday morning is not too appealing. Has helped Liverpool no end this season.

United will beat Arsenal in midweek.

Not a hope. Our record against the better sides this season is mediocre. Arsenal’s midfield (despite the Anfield capitulation) up against whatever pairing United go with? Not a chance. Would be delighted with a point.

A pissed off Arsenal should hand United their arses on a plate wednesday night

81 crosses by Manchester United today.

State of Mick Hucknall. As if today couldn’t have gone much worse.

They couldve had garth brooks and paul oconnell there too

She looks like a cross dressing tea lady.

Is Moyes getting blamed today for poor luck? Obviously he hasn’t done his reputation any favours before today but though United seemed predicable today they seemed to be dominant and should have scored more.

Not holding onto the lead at the end was pretty poor certainly but Vidic, Carrick and De Gea should get more blame than Moyes for the late goal.

They weren’t unlucky today though.

It’s not poor luck if you consistently set your team up to play a mediocre style of football, predictable is an apt description of Utd’s play at the moment.

Of course they should have won today given their domination, but Fulham are beyond woeful and pretty much ceded them that. There’s still just a feeling of cluelessness and inability to have the team playing in any kind of inventive manner. I’m not sure what he’s expecting Mata to be in playing him out on the right. Does he think he’s just going to be a better version of Valencia? There doesn’t seem to be any attempt to develop a style of play around his strengths, or any evidence to suggest he gave much thought as to how he was going to play him with Rooney and van Persie before he signed him. Leaving out Januzaj in every game since he signed doesn’t look great either.

The players certainly deserve their share of the blame, don’t think anybody is denying that. It’s just that it’s so abundantly clear that Moyes is out of his depth that it takes priority.

He looks like a clown without makeup.

They were predictable under Ferguson only that they had more resolve and character.

Martin mcguinness?

Yeah fair enough. I didn’t see all of today’s game, hence the questions. But they did seem to be more or less dominant. There’s just no getting away from central midfield anyway. It doesn’t matter what you do around the edges (though playing Young, not Janjuzaj is stupid) they won’t be a really good team until they buy a couple of midfielders. It was funny seeing Rooney playing there last week where Giles says he’s the best in England. It’s one thing sprinting back to dispossess someone, it’s another thing entriely to have the discipline to get behind the ball, track runs and move the ball around well. The difference even that Matic or someone would have made in January.

Utd fans are going spastic all over the internet tonight. They are gonna break it if they don’t calm down… As for players, they need a whole new back 4, 2 midfielder, and another striker as RvP is as good as done and won’t complete half a seasons worth of games.
