They were spending huge amounts of money and at Liverpool at the time we were struggling and my relationship with Benitez was a bit up and down."
Clutching at straws… I already told you that Benitez wanted him gone.
What does that prove?
Just give it up.
It proves he was sulking because Benitez played him out wide.
Utd fans even made up an amusing little ditty about him kissing the badge on his chest and putting in a transfer request.
No it doesn’t.

You’ve had your Gerrard rant, now care to address the current Utd players?
Leave it off, mate. You’re wasting your time.
I’m happy with my assertion.
Any players in particular?
RvP-Carrick- Jones-Evra-Rooney-Vidic to name a few. The Olympiakos game and the game on Sunday were mind blowingly awful for a collection of players that have won the lot.
I will love it LOVE it when City or Chelsea win the title!
Chelsea should and probably will win it. Their squad is certainly big enough and full of quality- I suppose the further they go in Europe might be the only worry. Flip that around, and with City out of Europe, you would imagine there will be a big push from them but something doesn’t seem quite right with them- Too many egos? missing a bit of quality in certain positions? manager not getting his plan across? or a mix of all. I’ve seen them played off the park by a good few teams this year yet managed to win, the sign of champions some say, but you can’t continue to play under par and eek out results. I’ll go Chelsea, Liverpool, City.
Mainly due to the negative mind numbingly boring tactics of a manager who is completely out of his depth.
Obviously the players should be doing better. Vidic is gone in the summer, Evra more than likely gone as well. Carrick has always been a lightweight, Jones is suffering from being moved from pillar to post, Moyes should just drop Vidic and play Jones and Smalling/Evans as central defenders. RvP is disappointing in that his attitude is dreadful at the moment. Rooney has been one of the better performers this season, that’s a low base though. Ultimately Moyes took a job to manage the club and has failed miserably so far.
I thought Mata was utterly useless on Sunday.
Fuck playing the poor mouth. We are not Kilkenny.
Chelsea have been shit for the last month and are tying up badly. Jose can feel the chihuahua nipping at his ankles and he doesn’t like it. We have the best team, we’re going to win every match between now and the end of the season, and we’re going to win the league.
Didn’t see the game, but you would imagine a formation containing Rooney, RvP, Mata and Januzaj would manage more than one shot on target. Where did Mata play?
last time Liverpool scored 5 against Arsenal Shankly won his first title in 1964

The chihuahua sleeps in wolves clothing but does not follow the trawler for sardines.
In Henderson’s pocket.
Mainly on the left I think.
Didn’t track back at all.
When I saw the United team at the start, I thought it looked fairly ok. Midifeld was a problem obviously but I thought they had the best defensive partnership and there was a threat up front.
But Jesus they were awful.
Henderson played wide? liverpool played a diamond?
