Manchester United FC 2013/14

I didn’t know that, strange that he decided to stay when he had the chance to leave so.

Very strange indeed, even more so when Benitez has admitted that he wanted to move Gerrard on. It’s a credit to him that he stayed on and gave his all for the club under such conditions.

It’s dirty money @Fran

No different to Rooney so. How many times has he asked for a transfer?

Twice officially, no different whatsoever.
It’s not all that uncommon, you surely remember stevie me sulking because rafa was playing him out wide. He agitated for a move to Chelsea, didn’t try a leg when not played in the centre.
If the players don’t believe in the manager then they don’t pull for him, that’s nothing new.
John Terry and Frank Lampard with AVB etc.
You are getting everything arseways there.

Oh so one match tells of how Gerrard operated everytime he played on the right.

Oh but you were at it so that adds credence.

Fuck off.

Gerrard played right for much of that season. There was a stage where Liverpool won 10 or 11 matches straight and didn’t concede a goal. I can assure you that Stevie was trying.

Rubbish again!!

Gerrard looked to leave twice. The first was before Rafa even was in charge for a match. The second was after we won the CL with Stevie mainly through the centre. The season after that he was wide a lot but never looked to leave.

So the club captain asked to leave twice?
Thanks for clearing that up pal. @Mark Renton I think stevie me was a senior player at the time. 20 you fucking cunt.

Ah lovely… Mullach is seething, and who could blame him.

Kevin Sheedy having a go at Moyes. Saying Moyes never showed any interest in the youth teams and saying now Everton have a manager who wants to win.

Will you admit that the essential premise of your argument that Stevie asked to leave because Rafa played him out of position was complete and utter horseshite?

Liverpool fans taking the high moral ground because Stevie G asked to leave twice but the position he was being deployed in may not have been the decisive factor in him asking for a transfer.

Since Henrik Larsson retired all professional footballers are pricks, with the exception of Artur Boruc.

It can’t always be spring m8.

Leave your snide little attacks on Farmer out of this… Mullach Ide was the one that brought Gerrard into it when the gutless nature of the current Man Utd players was being discussed. He then went on to say that Gerrard sought a transfer on the grounds of being played out of position, we simply pulled him up on it.

It is my first time logging into the main frame, and I was going to give you all kinds of accolades for the upgrade, but now i think i’ll keep them to myself, you nasty minded little man.

It’s a matter of someone being entirely wrong in the facts of their argument.

For what it’s worth I think Stevie acted the complete prick in 2004/2005. Only in March 2004 he signed a new contract and urged Michael Owen to do the same. Then at the Euros he had his head turned by Chelsea. He stayed but for that following entire season he was holding the club over a barrel with threats to leave if they didn’t get into the Champions League again etc. Even that night in Istanbul he said afterwards ‘how could anyone leave the club after a night like this’, as if it was all about him.

He nearly left again afterwards but at the last minute decided to stay. In fairness to him (I don’t know if that is the right phrase), there hasn’t been a murmur out of him since.

@Mullach Ide was inferring that the reason that Gerrard wanted to leave was because he was being played out of position and wasn’t trying a leg. That is completely wrong. Despite Gerrard’s carry on off the pitch (which completely ceased after 2005), I have never seen him not try on the pitch.

"I am Liverpool man through and through but I have to admit it did turn my head, because big things were happening at Chelsea.

They were spending huge amounts of money and at Liverpool at the time we were struggling and my relationship with Benitez was a bit up and down."

What does that prove?

Just give it up.
