Citeh had a fairly sluggish start to the season as well. Leicester hit them for 5 at Maine Road a few games in and Citeh were still languishing in 8th at Christmas. Man U were 3rd at Christmas. Man U had it in the palm of their hand when they went top in mid January but buckled under the pressure and weight of expectation of front running. Won something like 3 out of next 10 games after going top including losing at home to bottom of the table Sheffield United.
Just like the Ratoath Inn was the 12th man that won the league for Liverpool last season or the internet omertà won the All Ireland for Limerick in 2018, the giddy screenshots of the league table in January when Man U went top jinxed it and probably cost them the title.
