Manchester United Football Club 20/21

Heā€™s destroying Redknapp everytime now. That was a Charlie Nicholas comeback.

What makes the dig great is Rednapp hates it too. He isnā€™t laughing it off heā€™s absolutely seething.

The one about league of their own was very good a couple of weeks ago too.

Heā€™s shitting it anytime he says something now.

Nat Phillips was back on the construction site at 9AM this morning. Heā€™s a noted plasterer.

Youā€™ll often find that with teams who donā€™t have the budget or prestige to attract the best players. They play counter attacking football which can work in away games against the big teams but you need more than that to compete for the big trophies.

Iā€™d strongly disagree the record against the bottom placed teams are awful. Loses to Sheffield and Crystal Palace and draws against the likes of West Brom.

Even the results against Arsenal are terrible who are an awful side over the past few seasons.

The results against Man City and Chelsea have been decent.

Looks like the dubious goals committee took pity on Bruno Fernandes and awarded him a goal that could easily have been given to Nat. Noted stat man @ChairmanDan might confirm if Bruno has now drawn level with Alisson and Ederson for open play goals and assists in Big 6 fixtures?

Was last night a big 6 meeting though? Liverpool have been fucking shit this year.

Who are even the ā€œbig sixā€ heā€™s talking about?

Big 6 is a state of mind.

So itā€™s a completely made up stat?

Considering united are in the big 6 and cant play themselves

Ya Iā€™m not sure of the teams heā€™s included tbh. I think man united have significantly improved tbh.

In no particular order the vision of the ā€œbigā€ six are:
Liverpool,
Man Utd,
Man City,
Chelsea,
Arsenal,
Spurs

Leicester have gatecrashed this ā€œbig 6ā€quite a bit in recent years.

I read somewhere that the back four for Man Utd last night came to around Ā£190 million in transfer fees. And the Sky Sports narrative was about the loss of world record CB signing Harry Maguire. Surely they didnā€™t cost that much? I am sure it must be fake news.

The Liverpool back four were purchased for a total of Ā£8m.

Yep, the sale of Kevin Stewart to Hull City essentially funded the entire Liverpool back four.

Meanwhile, United pay Ā£600k pw to goalkeepers yet the best of them doesnā€™t know where to stand when a forward is running through on goal from the inside right channel.

Brendan Rodgers has done a magnificent job at Leicester and is an outstanding coach. A second successive Top 6 finish is now all but assured for each of his two full seasons (just the 3rd Top 6 finish in the last 58 years for Leicester) after two 9th placed finishes and a 12th place finish in the three seasons prior to Brendanā€™s appointment.
