Manchester United Football Club 20/21

Iā€™ve missed a lot of the match posts so apologies if this point has been made already. But I didnā€™t feel sorry for De Gea last night because he reminded me of Joe Hart in Euro 2012. He did all the gamesmanship things like delaying the penalty taker, walking out to stand on the spot and eyeball him, walk further out to hand the ball to the next taker while uttering a few words to him etc etc. And then didnā€™t get within an assā€™s roar of saving one of them. It got to the stage in sudden death when a United player scored that their reaction wasnā€™t a natural one to go over and embrace De Gea, it was more a pointed stare and clench that kind of saidā€¦any chance youā€™re going to fucking get near one of these or what? He made a right rip roaring cunt of himself all things said.

Pau Torres mugged him off when De Gea went missing for a few minutes and kept him waiting. He then stuck it in the top corner.

There was also one really terrible attempt where dived after the ball was in the net. It wasnā€™t the best strike, decent power but was at a good height and fairly central. Might have been the Moi Gomez one.

Dani Parejo. In fairness he leathered it

I called it out last night, imagine De Gea coming out and trying to intimidate you? Youā€™d laugh into his scrawny face.

Schmeichel on the other hand, could if he wanted, but heā€™d stay on his line and intimidate you with his sheer frame.

It really was pitiful stuff from him. One of the Utd management team should have told him to cop the fuck on to himself

Ole should have brought on Henderson rather than an outfield penalty taker

Lindrlof would have done a better job in goals

Rashford and Sterling are horribly out of form. He canā€™t afford to bring both, theyā€™ve had dreadful seasons.

For playing & scoring a pen on one leg?

Sterling is still a tidy footballer, Rashford just doesnā€™t seem to have much intelligence to his game. Heā€™s probably suffered from being played out wide but has hardly impressed when up front either.

I think Sterling would give you more going the other way also, heā€™d do a shift for you. Rashfords attitude is gone to the dogs.

Fucks sake

Neil Lennon was co-commentator on the radio last night, he speculated De Gea was coming out to tell the penalty takers what way he was diving such was the consistency of him going in the opposite direction to where the ball was heading.

Monaco in 04 surely?

Checking were his notes correct Iā€™d say

I think all last night proves is that with no or small crowds and in a less important competition itā€™s much easier to take a penalty. Hardly any pressure

Con Houlihan had a theory that a left footed penalty taker should always shoot for the right side of the goalkeeper.

Of you stand at an acute angle to the ball, most keepers will expect you to strike it back to the side of the ball where you began your run up. For a right footer thatā€™s to the keeperā€™s right.

So just stand at an acute angle and go the other way

Why does he bother his hole with social media at all? This is the third time Man Utd fans have turned on him and racially abused him - just delete your accounts and focus on your football.

The Utd fans seem to think he deserves it.
