Went above our own local rivals in the table on Sunday after beating them. Was always nice when you had the local bragging rights when you bumped into the other lot around North London.

Southampton historically a welcoming destination for young Eire players. Southampton gave Mikey Sheehy trials in the early 1970’s and wanted to take him over. He politely declined to concentrate on the Gaelic Football.

There was an Eamon Collins there in the early 1980’s around the time Southampton went close to winning the league. Think he’s a players agent now.
