Technically as a goalkeeper, his technique was always completely flawed, going at things with his feet that were simple saves with the hands for a goalkeeper who could set themselves properly, and could move his feet.
Now at his best, he was no.1 in the world there for a year or so. His reflexes were freakish for a man his size. He was making saves no one could make, but when the reflexes went, it showed his complete lack of technical prowess as a keeper.
Catching overhead, kicking, playing out, certain elements of shotstopping were always an issue.
