Manchester Utd 2023/24 (Part 1)

united obviously dont want to sell him lads. Look closer.

Great to see Chadwickie doing well. The abuse and torment he took from united fans was shocking

They reckon she has more than what’s out there.

Aren’t they back together and isn’t her old man sympathetic to Greenwood (ie wants the corporate tickets to Old Trafford)

Well I doubt they are worried about his partner for her well being. All about the brand. If there was a genuine concern for her, he’d already be gone.

Sports and this sort of stuff is weird though, particularly American sports. Abuse a woman, and the club sacks you and some other club just picks them up straight away. Or else they bury the story and whilst its generally well known, the victim keeps quiet

Was it Mixon that knocked the bird out on camera and didn’t do his career any harm.

Finally admitting Tom Brady is a cunt.

Well done.

think he had a couple of incidents, one was in a fast food joint alright. He dropped out of the first round, but it was more of a case as to who would bite first. Same with Tyreek Hill, taken in the latter rounds after being suspended from his college team. If they are good enough, they play. And if they are rich enough, the partner/abused stays.

“These things will even themselves out etc ect.”

Indeed. It’s an uphill battle for us really over the next 37 games. It’ll really play on their minds that they’ll have some adverse karma to be meted out at the most inopportune moment no doubt. You wouldnt wish it on your worst enemy.

They may have. They’ve done nothing though because they can’t bring themselves to. The guardian article is spot on.
In any case, so what if he sues them for unfair dismissal. They should fight it all the way. Bringing the club into disrepute is a subjective thing, and they would have a very strong argument.
It’s not about the legal issue, it’s not about right and wrong. It’s entirely about money and football, and you know fcuking well that if he was a bit part squad player, his feet wouldn’t have touched the ground.

Amen. The whole affair in one sentence.

There’s a photo that sums up the changes in English football in our life time. And a big reason why so few Irish lads play at the top clubs any more

What’s the reason?

Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal etc weren’t top clubs in the late 80s and early 90s. We had lots of players playing for them because English clubs were poor in quality at the time. The top clubs were your Italian clubs, your Spanish clubs. The English clubs were mauled any time they played in Europe and it was a massive deal anytime they didn’t (think Jeremy “God” for Norwich against Bayern or Villa managing to stay in touch with Inter).

It would be like us having a load of players playing for the leading teams in the Swiss league right now.

Liverpool were the top team in Europe until the English teams were banned. It took the English teams years to get back up to the standard of the European teams after the ban as they had fallen behind technically and were playing kick and rush at the time.

Why were the English teams banned ?
