Manchester Utd 2023/24 (Part 1)

United just spent the guts of €200m between Hojlund and Mount and big red Nev is begging the generous Glazers for more.

Roy is playing up to the crowds now. He’d be better off with a bit of actual analysis.

Galway hurlers would tend to be more respectful towards women than Man United wingers though.

Big Norman Whiteside carries some respect from ex pro’s.

I never knew Fred the red left. Pity he was great craic

Will this Ten Fags chancer make Christmas?

See this is the sort of lack of nuanced comment that appeals the lads on here.

The issue is man United were terribly run for over a decade.

You can’t fix that in short period no matter what you spend really.

As example Man City have spent very well for seven or eight years now With more money.

You see Liverpool competing with city maybe two seasons ago and they’ve gotten their signings wrong recently and look where they are now.

You can spend x,y and z but the reality is you have to identity the right players every window which isn’t easy given the competition.

Says you  unbelievable.

With the greatest respect, it is very hard to take you seriously on footballing matters. You’re a good WUM and it can be enjoyable at times. Today, you said Liverpool need to get rid of Alisson. The one Liverpool player that emerged with credit last season. One of the best keepers in the world. You’re a gas man sometimes and you’ve been principled on Qatari investment/ Greenwood from early on, but nuance and yourself don’t go together.

Between Antony, Sancho and Mount they must have spent over quarter of a billion in the last 2 years on attacking midfielders - that Palmer lad City have brought through the academy seems to be better than any of them. The recruitment has been atrocious, hard to justify another quarter billion spending when you see how the money gets spent.

He may have been good but he’s all over the shop for 18 months.

He was Liverpool’s best player last season.

The recruitment has been brutal so stop recruiting.

Yep that’s the answer.

He made more mistakes than any other season he’s been at Liverpool.

What did Antony every do to the Liverpool fans?

He was very good last season. Think he went close today and he’s been much better as an example than Nunez who was signed for similar money. Improving team unlike Darwin.

Lads seem to completely obsess over him.

I can’t think of any last season off the top of my head. He had a shaky few weeks in early 2021 when he handed a goal to Phil Foden and made a blunder the next week at Leicester.

you must have missed the Real Madrid home game

A quarter a billion has been wasted so let’s waste another quarter a billion seems equally crazy. Time to accept they got the manager recruitment wrong, start again and see if the new man can make anything of them. ETH thinking Antony was the answer to Uniteds problems shows he hasn’t a clue what the problem is.
