That’s me vindicated- Thanks, mate. But as an olive branch, here’s a top, top tunes for you…
Thinly veiled I’m a complete dickhead.
Now, now Kevin - don’t be transferring your angst from being called out as a bluffer on other threads to this one. It’s something you regularly accuse others of doing. You bluffer.
@Bandage has already been on to me.
‘Mate, what was that song again you recommended for me a while back?’
It was Song for the Siren mate.

Cheers, mate.
And what was the one you told me I should like because of how the heavy bass contrasted beautifully with the light tickling of the ivories?
@Bandage feel free to PM if you need a few suggestions. I haven’t really listened to any new music sine 2009 or so but if you want any stonewall classics from 1962 to 2009, I can certainly give you a dig out.
Lovely. I’m about to make my 8th selection in no particular order having started with some of my favourite old reliables.

Ah FFS!
It was the JUXTAPOSITION of the heavy DRUM with the TINKLING of the ivories.
Unspoken by Four Tet.
It appeared in my 100 list.

Of course. I would have seen them at Forbidden Fruit last year.
I’m a musicman.

It has become fairly fashionable for members of the ra to take up performing recently alright. What gives?
Where have you successfully shown me to be bluffing? I could only be transferring if this happened. I think it’s fair today I meet any accusations or disagreements he’s in in the relevant thread.
A serious bluffer
.

Also, I urge all music lovers, and just plain lovers, to check out Marvin Gaye’s album- Let’s get it on. @dancarter , as a lover of Sade, i know you will like this album. See above track ‘You sure love to ball’
I reckon you’ve extracted the maximum amount of attention possible from this thread at this stage.
I reckon I can knock a few more pages out of it at least. Next stage is to post up each song with a youtube vidoe, i’ll then do the same with covers of the same songs and ask posters to vote which version is better. I’ll then probably revise my list and make one or two changes and start all over again.
+1. While you’re at it, check out his earlier album “What’s going on”. The title track would be in my top 3 songs of all time while there are some other cracking tunes on it. An album of soul and meaning and something that we will probably never see or hear again, unfortunately.
+1, pal. A genius.
