Following our successful trawl of southern European markets last season, Joaq-cian represnets our newest recruit uncovered by our Mediterranean scouts. He joins on a 6 month contract.

If someone had offered me an 18-0 victory before kick-off, I would have taken it.
The club will not be issuing a medical statement on my head injury until tomorrow. For now, all I’ll say is the blood loss was significant.

Has @Bandage[/USER] secured @[USER=1757]gaamad1996 as the TFK official reporter/commentator?. This club goes from strength to strength.
Although to be fair @Bandage had so little to do tonight he could have co-commentated while simultaneously keeping a clean sheet.

I liked our ruthless attitude tonight despite the fact we were struggling for fluency. @Rocko typified that with an outrageous dive at the edge of the box to win a dangerous freekick when we were 15-0 up.
Last season, with M8 in the squad, we were probably too inexperienced.
@Joaq-Cian gives us a better balance and that showed in the mature performance tonight.
Who am I? I scored a first half hat trick as player manager of my star studded squad. I was felled with concussion and blood loss during the second half but returned to the field of play to score my fourth goal of the night.

I didn’t like to single M8 our for crĂticism as he was still learning his trade but in hindsight it was too much too soon and we couldn’t paper over the cracks he created.
Last season we wouldn’t have a kept a clean sheet like that with M8 in the team. We would probably only have won 26-2.

Last year @briantinnion reminded us on several occasions that he was missing in all the games we lost (this is true if you discount the games we also lost when he was there).
I fear for his long term place in the side after missing tonight’s emphatic victory while serving a suspension for internal issues.
Has no one mentioned @Rocko 's injury time miss from an inch yet?
@Rocko was concussed at the time. As the pass rolled towards him he saw 3 balls and he still thinks he scored with one of them.
The other highlight of course was @Dex abandoning his defensive responsibilities in a futile attempt to score. The effort off angle of post and crossbar from 3 yards out was sensational. 
If @gaamad1996 match report doesn’t start with the line “TFK AFC opened the season against Sandymount Hotel with a Five Star performance”, I will be extremely disappointed.
This is a very pleasant surprise. I heard the result and naturally presumed we’d been beaten 18-0. Well done chaps.
