Matchday 4 - v Back of the Internet

An efficient performance from TFK today who recovered from throwing away the lead twice to record a 4-2 victory. A brace from Emmett (benefiting from two gorgeous assists from Rocko - the first a perceptive through ball, the second a stunning run and square ball) was followed up by Scrunchie nabbing two late goals to secure a win.

TFK’s third goal was a thing of stunning beauty. Can’t remember what happened in the build-up other than Scrunchie did well but his finish was a sublime stroke from a tight angle with the outside of the right boot that fizzed into the top corner.

Two years after he joined the team, Scrunchie has finally contributed.

Scrunchie’s first goal will live long in the memory

What kind of a goal was it again?

It was more than a goal Bandage.

It beat Schmeichel for fuck sake.

It’s not every goal that is applauded in such gusto by the opposition & it’s not every week that Monkey Allen asks you to sign his jersey outside the Wicked Wolf.

But I can’t take all the credit for the strike. A lot of praise and a huge thanks must go to my team mates, who, without their lack of support I wouldn’t have had no option but to shoot from where I did.

The type of individualistic goal only a former top scorer in the Denny Sausages Wexford Premier Division could score.

We’re up to 4th place now, chaps.

I thought it was interesting to see Monkey playing well in a more withdrawn / pulling the strings kind of role in the second half. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up playing that position more permanently when he gets older.

Tinnion & Farmer proved again last evening why they are the greatest 6-a-side man marker there are. They just pick a man and stay with them.

Unfortunately last night they chose to mark each other and allowed a fella to run free and score from a throw in.

That wasn’t my fault. I was marking my man and the scorer was the lad Tinnion was supposed to be picking up.

You cunt.

Thanks Bandage. However, as I am still young and inexperienced, I have a lot to learn about the defensive side of midfield play. Hence the reason I was standing in front of you for their second goal and completely blocked your view of the shot.

Is there any news yet on whether Emmett will be cited for his Paul O’Connell-like kick to the head of the opposition keeper? To see the keeper lying motionless on the ground, before being carried from the field of play probably affected us all last night, long after the final whistle.
The fact that he returned to the pitch a minute after being carried off, didn’t make it any less shocking.

I was chatting to Farmer when the Order of Malta were dealing with yer man and he says to me…“I hope that cunt is properly injured*”.
