The Cast of Cheers are not bad if you are musically inclined.

Juhniallio Also, you can rent bikes and go mountain biking out there. Bit expensive without your own bike, but not overly expensive. There are beginner and more experienced trails you can go on. Might interest you. Also, the newly restored Castle Oliver might be worth checking out if you are into that sort of thing, it was built by the Oliver family who were given a fair chunk of land in the cromwellian settlements - Their were a few notorious cunts from this line and one was involved in putting down defender disturbances in 1793 and 98- He led a hunt and tracked down and killed a chap called Stalker Wallace to which there is a monument to in the town.

Loads of walks up there as CM says. Go up around ardpatrick and the greenwood. Up to the top of Seefin mountain. Go drinking in Kilmallock to avoid a deliverance type situation in Kilfinane. You can rent bikes off Joe Costello in Kilmallock.

Sorry to have caused so much consternation. I’ll report fully on the hidden gem that is kilfeenannamallok upon my return.

Joe is Becky’s da. I forgot to mention it. Paul Gammell has a bike shop as well in behind the castle, you could try him. Go for a walk around Kilmallock, a fine town. The town wall, Blossom Gate, King John’s castle, the Dominican priory, the Collegiate Church.

Oh, that’s alright then…

Chaps, is the area around Limerick Regional Hospital on the outskirts of the city a decent place? It looks like that’s where I’ll be based from 2015 onwards.
