Must be another one so, apologies. This was in the paper yesterday.
But it was the right way round.
Did you teach there pal or something?
Any fucker who survives six years in thar shit hole and still has an appetite for education deserves all that and more.
God no. What gave you that idea. I do know a teacher there though so I shouldnât say much, itâs a well known shit hole and has been for a good few years now, bottom of the barrel when it comes to applying for schools in that strange system Limerick have.
Theyâve produced brilliant soccer teams in recent years
Werenât you told never to apologise.
Go shit in your hat, Iâll do what I want you fucking gowl.
That was my secondary schoolâŚitâs a pity the hurling diedâŚespecially considering the teachers they have.
Ya v strong at soccer particularly since the early 00âsâŚdonât know if they still are tbhâŚ
The academic results when I was there were v poor alrightâŚout of my yearâŚthink 10-12 lads got to 3rd level out of 120 at the time who started 1st yearâŚthat was it.
Vast majority of lads who come out of there still do v well though.
When was the last Harty win, 93?
Correct ya 93 - shame how it fell awayâŚhavenât had a team since 2000 Iâm fairly sure.
Donât think many lads from the county go there anymoreâŚused to be nearly a 50/50 split even 15-20 years ago.
Hurling died then as a result.
Clem was on that team. Was at the match in Buttevant.
A lot of lads from Bruff and Grange side used to go there.
Correct - Meanus, Ballybricken, Fedamore, even a few from Patrickswell and Ballybrown.
They seemed to lose all of those kids even if they had an older brother as a past pupilâŚto all the other schools.
Barry Foley and Albert Shanahan were the other two standouts, the whole match is on youtube
Is that the back page man???
Page 6 or 7 man now.
We beat them in a munster schools semi around 99. Twas played in the field by the army barracks
Sure CBS doesnât have a blade of grass in the school grounds itself which is unusalâŚfor hurling we used to rely on RathbaneâŚwhich is a grand pitch to be fair.
Couple of years laterâŚthey really kicked on with the soccer thoughâŚMick Molyneaux put a huge effort into it.
The open house thing is great. Just spent the afternoon traipsing through places youâd never see otherwise.
The sailors house on O Curry street would be unbelievable if renovated.
There was plans to⌠not sure if it will happen.
Thatâs a fairly grim story.
