A green and white badgeâŚ

Well East Limerick is just Tipp with a different badge Fagan.[/quote]
East limerick. Itâs like the crazy cross dressing uncle you keep locked in the attic.
TFK were one of the first media outlets to cover the washing machine story last month
Itâs a shame the Tans didnât torch Old Pallas. Weird place. I suppose OâNeillâs and Powerâs are closed by now?
Retract that statement immediately. The hatred of Tipp in Pallasgreen and Oola is unmatched anywhere in the county.
OâNeills is gone, it was bought by Ollie Power of Powerâs bar across the road. Powerâs is a kip along with most of the village in fairness.
The derelict building on the corner always gave the town a bad image. Is there no tidy towns committee there for the love of god? Must do better.
The building beside the Co-Op that was falling down, would you believe a person was living in that, Hallie Connelly is his name. No Tidy town as far as I know, the lovely townsland of Bearna is the only one with a tidy town. You can see that straight away, a beautiful village.
Now you got me thinking, Haulie Connolly to add to the list of Pallas âcharactersâ. It is a very long list.
Old Pallas is a kip, oâneills was lively for a while in the late 80âs. We would celebrate there each time we beat Pallas.
There is a nice bar around the area, not quite old Pallas but Boher. OâNeillâs the old thatched pub has the best Guinness i have tasted in Limerick.
Oâneills is alright but you have not been in a limerick pub until you have visited knockane crossroads. What was once dinny Aâs (of ballingarry fame) has been in the hands of spunky Tom for many years now. The rule of law does not touch the area.
I heard he was calling it âUncle Tomâs Cabinâ, CCHA? Is it as raw as eggs? A fella at a wedding in Gort was telling me about a pub in Knockane there a month or two ago.
What is that pub near Caherline you were telling me about, Dunph?
I was reading in those archives that there was a Tan shot dead outside Powerâs (Doranâs Pride) in Fedamore during the troubles. They were in having a stag for a tan getting married the next day. Fedamore was a garrison on 20, six peelers and fourteen tans.
I know the pub in Knockane CCHA, was in there a few times but not for years. Have they still the pool table?
SS**, the pub in Caherline is called âThe Round Towerâ i believe. Itâs a decent little boozer off the beaten track.
Cheers mate. How long will the locals stare at me as I walk in? 30 seconds? 5 minutes? for the entire duration of my stay?
They keep to themselves in my experience, they will look at you walking in and then continue staring into their pints. Itâs a place just to drink.
Still have the pool table. That pub was my local for many years. Dinny A was a great character many a good game of poker we had in there. Ray Sampson took it on after that, always be remembered for the winning point against those Tipp cunts back in the 92 league final. Tom OâDonnell has it now a sound bloke as well, still many a lock in can be had there.
the Pub in caherline is the tower, it is actually in ballybrood at the top of the hill. it is a very old building, looks like a small castle tower.
I have the hurl he scored it with
You are not a Pallasman then anto
Jesus that 92 win was a wild day & night of celebration. Back from 10 pts down pt by pt and won by that late score. We were soaked on the terrace and a few people beside us left after ht.
