Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️ (Part 2)

I heard rumour JP has the Manor sold, with change of ownership to kick in after the golf tournament.

There were rumours about his health a while back…

Looks like we have another candidate for the TFK misogyny group.

Why not a limerick hurling museum?

No I just think it’s a shit idea.
Noone called me homophobic when I said the rugby museum was a shit idea as well.

Three of the greatest to ever play…

Mick Mackey, Eamonn Cregan and Will O’Donoghue.

The yanks will love the hurling museum.

It isn’t dead – yet

That’s lthe equivalent of a @Julio_Geordio tap in Dad joke

Limerick isn’t a big enough population centre to sustain a museum that will have a lot of ongoing costs to run. A women’s museum is a good idea but it would need to be in Dublin I think. I don’t know what else you do with the building, make it an arts space or get one of the universities to use it?

And when it fails we’ll have the usual councillors calling out the patriarchy for its demise

Surely UL will come along and overpay for it.

Anyway, you cant have a women’s museum without a big kitchen so the food side of things might keep the finances ticking over

Why not have a billionaire tax exile pay for it’s upkeep?

Boures Museum

The fuck is even a minister for culture.

How would you go about that?

It should be an interactive Limerick museum

Vikings - bit of history, fire an axe at a monk
Rugby - bit of history and the interactive exhibits that were already there
Music - an immersive Cranberries concert / documentary
Hurling - usual interactive things, pucking a ball etc
Limerick social history - kill a pig, make some lace, shoot a Collopy etc

Pretty sure I heard the previous incarnation didn’t allow school tours either, which is bonkers for a museum in Ireland.

By not taking ownership of it off of him.
