Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️

Marks and Spencer discussion incoming in 3,2,…

You’d want to be leveling that to do anything with it hard to see what private investor would want to take that on, go into a planning battle for 10 years and then end up with a half arsed comprise of a yoke. The city should buy it really, but given their complete in ability to deliver on any of the present projects they have taken on its hardly an ideal solution either

The council will probably buy it as part of their masterplan, which seems to consist of owning as many vacant key sites as possible.

Is this a 2040 initiative or a 2050?

The vacant quarter

I suppose there’s no chance they will finish off a bit of paving on O’Connell Street and maybe give it a bit of a wash before moving onto this.

That multi-million euro development site appears to include the relatively recently sold multi-million euro Dunnes building.

They are 6 weeks doing the junction at chicken hut and still don’t have half of it done

Somebody has fairly milked that job anyway. One lane of O’Connell Street is basically for parking now.

I’d love to see a map of the whole city with all the areas up for development red lined.
There wouldn’t be a whole pile left…

Who’ll get the contract for the wall? They’d get 100 years out of it

Donkeys looking well there.

Where’s Caherdavin?

Still in Clare

That was Limerick… Clare robbed it for a short period much later

The No Quarter.

Ah yes, the world class waterfront.

They’re under serious pressure now to get this done before sea levels rise and it becomes a world class trench.

Presume there will be something like the Sydney Opera House put in there the tourist office is.
