Tis yeah. It was a soccer town in the 60s and 70s. Now it’s a hurling town. The rugby was confined to Waterpark. As the saying in the town went - the cream of Waterford went to Waterpark. Rich and thick.

Yeah but munchins the only city team who looked likely to crack the duopoly for a long while. Having boarders played a large role in that.
Similarily if Roscrea and Glenstal hadn’t the benefit of boarders, they’d have same fate as munchins’ present lot I’d wager.
