I heard about this a while ago,I thought this was another grant.
Its less about what was granted and more about knowing the likely use of funds.
Previous Club president pulled his own name out of car raffle for example.
Another club president exhorting club for advertising fees.
Decarbonisation a nice broad term. Repeat bicycle shed scenario springs to mind

I will say this, the names on some of these Sports Capital projects beg further investigation alright.
You could name them anything but the details is what you’ll get awarded on.
Adding the wimin this time was a real money grabber.
Makes you think about how often they move head coaches on…
and the green agenda.
In principle, its a good thing. Just skeptical thats how it gets used.

Can anything be done with that huge site on O’Curry St / Dock Road?
I know they had to spend a fortune extracting some toxic residues from whatever industry was there previously.
There was talks of this, the site couldn’t be used for two years according to that, but that’s up now.
Prime bit of real estate, but surrounded by not so nice real estate. Would make perfect sense as a site for a massive apartment block
