Was there flooding last night, I saw footage of JJ Bowles with a few feet of water in it

When contacted on Sunday, Cllr Elisa O’Donovan replied: “Of course you’re writing an article on this Nick!” followed by a laughing emoji, “Maybe instead you could write about the lack of women representation?

“This is a non story and I’m embarrassed for you again at your poor journalism standards”.

She went on to write: “ You can quote me on all of the above”

Think it may have dawned on her that it could be as close as she ever gets. She thought she had it.

Spent Sunday in or around Limerick city. Nothing booked but tried to have a bit of late breakfast/early lunch but the Buttery? was booked out as was some place along side it. Ended up going to Milano’s and the kids were delighted to have pizza early in the day.
The Peoples Park has a nice playground close to the EV chargers and the walk through the Georgian Quarter down towards the main shopping area is charming.

My Ma used to own that place! Seems to be doing well these days.

It was very busy alright. There were a couple of tables but were reserved. They had tables outside too. Great to see.

The Buttery & Spitjack (the place beside it) seem to both be doing very well.

Hook & Ladder was just around the corner which does good brunch stuff.

Good to know. We were after walking from the Peoples Park with the smallies so just went with Milano’s for a finish. It was Baltic down by the river

We went to milanos in Mahon after the cinema last week. The pizzas were poor

There’s always a nasty breeze blowing in off the estuary. I can’t explain it but it’s a pity. Might explain why there’s so few pubs and restaurants that open out onto the river in Limerick.

What was the old name? Was it Cafe on the Row, or am I imagining that?

Well hello Mr. Lah Di Dah!

That’s how the other half live

Correct. We had from about 1999 to 2015. She was tired of it and sold it as neither myself or sisters had any interest in taking it on.
